Ketamine - Nasal Spray

Ketamine is a promising treatment for some cases of major depression. Clinicians are now shifting their focus from traditionally prescribed anti-depressants and anti-psychotic medications to this treatment modality. Ketamine has shown to decrease suicidal ideation that is commonly seen amongst most other treatments. When to use: Previously only used as a last effort medication when all other therapies have failed, Ketamine is becoming first line therapy in treating major depressive disorder. It has shown to improve the quality of life in patients who have severe anxiety due major depressive disorder.
